HYROX TRAINING
In addition to our normal programming, our community now has direct access to HYROX-style training, programming and early access to events and more.
What is a HYROX Race?
For those new to HYROX; it’s an indoor fitness race featuring 8 rounds of 1k runs and 8 workout stations including wall balls, sled pushes and pulls, farmer carry, ski erg, row erg, burpee broad jumps, weighted lunges. It’s the ultimate test of fitness consistency and performance - for everyone from beginners to elite athletes.
Why are we offering HYROX classes and events at Iron Bond Fitness?
Many aspects of the HYROX training and races align with or parallel our programming at IBF. The movements or stations in a HYROX event are not heavy lifts; rather, they are scaled movements repeatable under fatigue. HYROX allows us to offer a goal-oriented event in addition to weekly classes.
Why should you consider doing a HYROX event?
We are excited about HYROX because it provides IBF members with a clear, motivating goal/event to train for; the opportunity to compete on a global stage, regardless of experience or fitness level; and a fun, community-driven challenge that improves real-world fitness through structured training, teamwork, and measurable progress.
What to expect?
Our high volume days - Wednesday & Saturday will stay structurally the same while taking on a few HYROX aimed attributes. In addition to HYROX classes, we will host a mock HYROX race as an optional workout on Saturdays each month.
Look out for our IBF HYROX TEAM group. This will allow those interested in meeting up outside of classes to run together and discuss equipment, teams, and strategy.
On request: A HYROX-ready evaluation.
Our current HYROX workouts are: Wednesdays at 5:30, 6:30 & 9:00am, 4:30 & 5:30pm AND Saturdays at 7:30 & 8:30am.
These classes specifically focus on HYROX specific training movements and conditioning to ensure you are race-ready!
